What this checks

PDF Limit compares the downloaded result against your selected file-size target. If a target is too strict for the original document, it returns the smallest readable result it can make and tells you when it is still over the limit.

Compression limits

Scanned PDFs usually shrink well because each page is an image. Text-heavy PDFs may already be compact, so aggressive compression may require rasterizing pages into images.
